The Rotary Club of Belmont is a friendly club with a long tradition of service to the wider community around Belmont. The Club has a number of programs which individuals or small groups can access. These programs can assist individuals or small groups, recognise their achievements or provide an opportunity that may well be life changing. Check out these programs under Club Programs. The Rotary Club of Belmont is an enthusiastic participant in many Rotary International activities and projects. The Club is a keen supporter of Polio Plus a project aimed at the total world wide erradication of Polio and Shelter Box a project which provides a quick and vital response to disasters anywhere in the world. The Club has wider interests and has supported the Australian Rotary Health Foundation as well as many other worthy causes locally, regionally and internationally.

District 9670 is located midway along the East coast of NSW, Australia. The district runs in a strip averaging 150 kilometres wide east-west across the state almost to the Queensland and South Australian borders. The principal city is Newcastle, with a city population of 500,000 people. Belmont is located approximately 18 Km south of Newcastle along the eastern shore of beautiful Lake Macquarie. The Club is the most south eastern club in District 9670.

The Club's Christmas Raffle was drawn on the 19th of December at the Belmont 16 Foot sailing Club by the Hon Jill Hall, member for Shortland. Photo shows Jill Hall and Trevor May President of the Rotary of Belmont conducting the draw.

The winner of the major prize of the Kayak and trailer etc was John Parkes of Swansea and the winner of the book buyers prize was Simon Ormsby of Lambton
